Zoe Marsh – The Glance Jewellery Collection
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, but sometimes we can not all afford, or that special someone to shower us with gifts. Sterling silver is a precious metal that has stood the test of time trends in jewelry and nobody knows it better than Zoe Marsh.

Zoe Marsh glance collections of jewelry are all handmade in her studio in York with sterling silver. Zoe designs and makes all the jewelry itself, using traditional instruments. Zoe studied art and worked as an assistant glassblower, before setting up her own business making glass jewelry. She then became self-taught in silver work skills and soon realized that she preferred the designing and making jewelry in precious metals, instead of glass. Her collections are now mainly in sterling silver.
LadyM Presents Zoe asked about her typical day and gives an insight into its business;
On a typical day I will either make jewelry in my studio, or the sale of jewelry. If I do, I will start working when I’m done, and spend a few hours of sawing, hammering, drilling or archive. I use hand tools only if I prefer the finish they give. My favorite activity at the moment my Archimedes drill, which allows me to drill through metal by hand without any electricity. I share a room with other artists, especially painters, so we chat about our work through the day. My work is usually very messy, so I will spend a few minutes at the end of the day cleaning up.

Flo & Percy was launched in 2005 and was the first company to vintage hair accessories in the United Kingdom of original vintage materials. Founded by Kirstie Taylor, who at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in London studied. Kirstie left Academy of Fine Arts in 1987 and designing accessories, with a special interest in vintage fashion. Since refreshing her skills at Central St. Martins College, she has designed for many demanding brides and celebrities. Her work is regularly seen in many wedding magazines and local and national press.
Inspiration
The naming of the company comes from a wonderful story about a couple named Florence and Percy, who were married for 80 years and holds the record for longest marriage in the world. The story is printed on the boxes that accessories are delivered in and says: “May the Flo & Percy you buy the same piece will bring you happiness, health and happiness they shared.”
Inspiration comes from the personal collection of vintage jewelry Kirstie and her love for crafts. She always stays close eye on current trends and vintage modern wedding chic.
The team of Flo & Percy to predict trends a year in advance, Kirstie explains that “Weddings are getting less and less formal dresses adorned so easy with a statement of the equipment pieces”. The team remain informed of developments by reading all the fashion magazine on the shelf and look at bridal dress designers very closely.
